I would like to have two monitors displaying outside of the laptop monitor to be more sufficient in my work. I understand that my C Type is just for data transfer only.

Will a HDMI Splinter work or is there another way I can accomplish having two screens to help with workflow?

The HDMI splitter will give you two screens but they will be identical, so assuming that will not be what you are hoping for.

There is a possibility of using a USB to HDMI/DVI/VGA adapter
