256 GB Value SSD + 1 TB HDD
128 GB Value SSD + 1 TB HDD
- What type of SSD is a "value" SSD ? Can someone provide more technical detail about it, or even a link to some suitable SSD's?
- Would this laptop model accept a 512 GB or even a 1TB SSD?

Hi:
Your notebook's M.2 slot supports SATA SSD's only, not NVMe.
In my opinion, this SATA M.2 drive provides the best performance for the price.
The drive capacities listed in the manual are just what HP offered in the model series.
Either a 500 GB or 1 TB M.2 SATA SSD should work.
You will need to remove Windows from the 2.5" drive, or the notebook will always want to boot from that drive first.
Dual drive configurations from the factory has the OS on the M.2 drive and the 2.5" drive is empty for storage only.
