HP Laptop 15-bs077ns
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
I'd like to set up dual storage HDD + SSD configuration for my HP Laptop 15-bs077ns, since it's becoming slower and slower over time, and looking at the Windows Resource Monitor I see that it spends plenty of time using the 100% of HDD on start-up, whereas CPU and memory look pretty good with a medium-low usage.

I read in the manual that it does support dual storage . It actually says this:
Dual storage configurations (Intel Core processors only)
256 GB Value SSD + 1 TB HDD
128 GB Value SSD + 1 TB HDD

My questions are:
  • What type of SSD is a "value" SSD ? Can someone provide more technical detail about it, or even a link to some suitable SSD's?
  •  Would this laptop model accept a 512 GB or even a 1TB SSD?
Thanks!

Hi:

Your notebook's M.2 slot supports SATA SSD's only, not NVMe.

In my opinion, this SATA M.2 drive provides the best performance for the price.

Western Digital WDS500G2B0B WD Blue 500GB 3D NAND Internal SSD M.2 SATA: Western-Digital: Amazon.es:...

The drive capacities listed in the manual are just what HP offered in the model series.

Either a 500 GB or 1 TB M.2 SATA SSD should work.

You will need to remove Windows from the 2.5" drive, or the notebook will always want to boot from that drive first.

Dual drive configurations from the factory has the OS on the M.2 drive and the 2.5" drive is empty for storage only.
