Product: HP Pavilion 15.6 inch Gaming Laptop PC 15-ec2000 (2P6B3AV)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

I want to know whether my laptop supports flex mode or just limited to dual channel. And another thing is that the product

specification regarding the maximum RAM support as available on Hp Support Assistant doesn't matches with the the output of the command wmic memphysical get MaxCapacity, MemoryDevices. Max.pngMAX2.png

If you don't install memory in matching capacities (2 x 8 GB, 2 x 16 GB) the notebook will run in single channel mode like it does with one memory chip and an empty slot.

 

Chapter 1 of the service manual indicates that 2 x 16 GB is supported as did the Windows report you ran.

The capacity in the report is shown as Kilobytes, so you have to convert it to Gigabytes by dividing the number provided in the report by 1,048,576.
