Hi there!
I have a Dv6500 p/n GS662UA#ABA, AMD 64 Athlon X2, Windows Vista. But when I browse with the serial number, it was a Hp Pavilion Dv6605us.
I'm planning to upgrade it, so I need advice from the expert. Here are my questions:
- Which one is correct, Dv6500 or Dv6605us? Or is it the same?
- Can I upgrade the RAM to over 4gb? And what memory that works well with it?
- For the OS, is it ok to go up to W10, or better with W7?
- What should I do if I want to upgrade the graphic?
Tq for the kind answers 😃

- Machine: As above
- RAM: No, 4GB is the max number,
- OS: Windows 7 is no longer supported, Windows 10 may NOT run due to lack of drivers (machine is too old)
- Video: You can't upgrade graphics. EXCEPT on same lines of notebooks/laptops from all vendors, 99% we can't upgrade graphics
Note: dv5000 is the series code which could be from dv0000aa to dv9999zz models/products.
Regards.
