I I’m thinking about the ENVY Notebook - 17t and have a few questions:
- Is the memory upgradable.
- What is the maximum RAM that it will support?
- Can the hard drive be upgraded?
Thanks!

After going through the Product specifications, I found that this PC is shipped with 16 GB DDR4-2400 SDRAM (2 x 8 GB) Memory and
- 512 GB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD
For information on upgrade, I would recommend you go through the Maintenance and Service guide, Here you will have the information along with the parts which are tested and compatible with this PC.
Chapter 1. Product Description - Page number 1
So as per the Maintenance and Service guide it only shows the supported Memory as 16GB, Unfortunately you may not able to go upgrade to 32GB
Configurable memory on this model is either 8GB or 4GB, so you can have a maximum of 16GB.
However, when coming to storage, this pc can Support the following hard drive and solid-state drive combinations:
● 1-TB, 7200-rpm, SATA 7.0-mm hard drive + 256-GB, 2280, PCIe, NVMe solid-state drive
● 1-TB, 7200-rpm, SATA 7.0-mm hard drive + 128-GB, M.2 2280-SATA3 solid-state drive with TLC
● 1-TB, 7200-rpm, SATA 7.0-mm hard drive + 16-GB, 2280, PCIe3×2, NVMe, 3D XP solidstate drive
For the spare part numbers, you can go to Chapter 3. Illustrated parts catalog - page number 15
Please note the parts listed here are the ones which are compatible and tested. However, if you wish to try other parts you can try at your own discretion. HP Doesn't recommend any upgrade/downgrade of any hardware parts or software that is bundled with the product. It may affect the manufacturer's warranty and performance.
I hope this information helps. Let me know if you need any further assistance. I'll be more than happy to help you.

Thanks for the quick reply! I don’t have a specific product number because I’m currently doing research prior to making a decision. The one I was looking at says this: HP ENVY - 17-bw0011nr. Mostly I wanted to know if I can increase the RAM to 32gb. I checked the manual, but it only described how to install it, but not by how much…
