- Uninstalling and scanning for new hardware DOES NOT resolve the problem.
- No Imaging Device in Device Manager
- Existing HP Support Case # 5055767064
- I have not and will not perform a factory reset. If HP has not yet tested this system, its hardware, and its components with the latest MS Windows release, that is an HP problem. That task will not fall upon my shoulders without compensation.
- I have reached out to HP Support who created a remote session and offered nothing more than basic desktop troubleshooting. All of which I’ve already completed prior to and after our session.
- I will not ship my laptop to HP unless I am guaranteed I will be shipped another model equal to or greater in value and specifications. Otherwise, I will return the laptop to Best Buy for a full refund.
Primary Problem
As indicated, I purchased an HP ENVY x360 Convertible Laptop PC 15m-ed1023dx last week, 10/22/2020. The image quality of the internal camera, whether using Windows 10 Camera, Microsoft Teams, or any other collaborative video platform, is horribly poor. It’s awful; fuzzy, choppy, discolored, and dark. In fact, poor is an understatement. No amount of troubleshooting, researching, or resolution attempts have or will resolve this known issue unless HP takes onus, addresses the problem, tests their solution, and subsequently, releases that permanent resolution to the public. Anything less is counterproductive and unacceptable.
I expect a response based on the criteria I noted above.
