Hello all,
I have a HP Envy 13-aq1006nv notebook purchased this month.
1)I noticed a buzzing/crackling noise (periodic or constant sometimes) like electrical current sound coming out of the keyboard area MAINLY under the left area of the keyboard but also from the middle and right area. It's not so loud, it's relatively quiet but you can hear it clearly in a very quiet room or if you place your ear near the keyboard. I noticed that this sound is being distorted in sound and frequency if you touch the touchpad or if you're pressing/holding the brightness keys(I haven't tested for other keys).
2)Also, as long as the screen is active there is a high-pitched sound constantly coming mainly from the the middle area of the keyboard. When I increase the brightness from the windows bar or with the brightness keys the volume of the high-pitched sound increases. Opposite happens when I decrease the brightness of the screen. I am certain that this sound is active when the screen is active. This sound is not so loud but not so quiet either and it's a bit disturbing and you can hear it even with low background noise.
I have all the drivers updated(checked with HP Support Assistant) and windows is up to date.
Also I have checked the sounds with headphones so they're not from the speakers.
The air vents are clear and clean(notebook is brand new)
Thank you.

Welcome to HP support community.
Check with an alternate power cord/adapter, does the electric buzzing sound appear when the laptop is disconnected from the charger as well?
Check with an headphone if the high-pitch sound appears in that as well?
And since fan is one of the only moving parts on the laptop:
Use this to diagnose and resolve the issue:- Click here
I hope that helps.
To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.
