Hello,
I’m new in this community. I own a HP EliteBook 2560p with Intel i5-2540M, 2.60 GHz.
I wish to change the processor in order to support Wireless-Display (Miracast), and I know it is from 3rd Intel generation on that supports this technology.
My question: Is there any other Intel processors compatible for the 2560p that can be mounted in order to support Wireless Display or Miracast? I need it for work reasons and I would like to be sure before thinking about changing my laptop, which is working so well…)
I have seen on the web that there had been a 2560p model with i5-3210M at 2.5 GHz (chipset Intel HM65 Express, graphic processor Intel HD3000). Could it be possible to upgrade my laptop to this i5-3210M processor?
I appreciate any help, thank you!

Service Manual:
Not sure where you saw the 2560p with a third gen processor. The chipset is QM67 and that chipset does support some 3rd gen CPUs but there is no guaranty they would work on the motherboard you have. According to the Service manual HP did not offer an optional 3rd gen CPU on this model.

Hello Huffer, thank you so much for your great help.
With your first info, I have been looking for more information:
In the QM67 Express compatibility list you gave me, I see the i5-3610ME (which brings WiDi technology). Do you think that could it be the one compatible to upgrade my EliteBook 2560p? Could it work with the motherboard? The specs are realy similar...
In the other hand, the i5-3210M is not on that list (bBesides, it does not have WiDi but could work with a WiFi adapter…) That's why I was really surprised when I found the EliteBook 2560p with i5-3210M, here:

Thank you in advance for your feedback!
