Microsoft Windows 11

Hello, a friend offers me a ULTRASLIM DOCKING STATION 2013, and insures me it is okay with my computer.

When checking on the web, my Elitebook 830 G6 is never refered in the compatibility lists I found.

Anyone can tells me?   Thank you.

Hi @ygab

It won't be compatible; just look at the fact that your laptop doesn't have the necessary ports on the side, and it can't be attached because it doesn't have the mounting points on the bottom of the lid.

Hi Resistencia, and thank you for taking the time to answer me.

My laptop has the necessary ports, and mounting points. That is no problem. It should connect to the docking.

What I wonder about is the fact my laptop is powered by a USB3 plug (I gess 5 volts), not the old jack. So, the question is: is it the same voltage?

The voltage via USB is the same; you need to check which dock has a power supply of 65 watts or 45 watts, depending on the USB AC adapter you currently have—it must be one of those two power ratings.

Sounds great. I haven't the dock yet. I shall check when my friend drops it to me.

Thanks so much 🙂
