Hi,
I have purchased 8440p, Sometime back, Wish to increase the RAM,
Just going around your ans...
Please suggest from below...

From the Manual:
DDR3 PC3-10600 1333-MHz memory Supports the following configurations:
■ 8192-MB total system memory (4096 x 2)
Specified 4 gig module:
4096-MB 599092-001
Since it maxes at 8 gigs you cannot use the second kit you linked. 16 gigs is not going to work, which is normal for a 1st gen Intel Core system. G.Skill is a kind of generic brand. That memory will work, and is the same type and specs as the modules form amazon I linked.
See p. 4-16 in the manual for memory replacement instructions.
