Product: EliteBook 8470p
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)
Dear all,
just for the information: I've successfully upgraded my 8470p from i7 3520m to i7 3820QM.
All works without any problems.
Since it is 45W processor rather than 35W (3520m) the battery lives a bit shorter, but I would say that the difference is not crucial.
No other negative effects were observed, all works very well.
Another thing is that upgrading the whole machine to newer one with DDR4 and PCI-E m.2 ssd causes more fruitful effect even in office tasks like starting of the internet browser.
Sincerely yours,
Nikolay
