Product: HP EliteBook 850 G8 Notebook PC IDS Base Model
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

We have multiple EliteBook 850 G8 devices that while connected to the USB-C dock G2, G5 will randomly stop charging.  On occasion, you can reseat the USB-C connector or switch ports and it will start charging again.  On occasion, you will need to restart the device for it to start charging again.  We've had it twice where a device wouldn't charge at all so we had to use the included charging cable.

 

We have tried updating BIOS, dock firmware, and drivers along with downgrading BIOS.  Nothing seems to work.  It is not a consistent issue either, comes and goes.

 

Is anyone else experiencing this or have a resolution?
