HP Elitebook 1040 G4
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Dear HP,

The new Elitebook 1040 G4 has now 2 USB-c Thunderbolt ports.   Tried to charge this Elitebook with different DOckingstations (HP Elite Thunderbolt 3 Dock, HP Elite USB-C Docking Station) with 65W and also 90W but i get everytime the message from HP Smart Adapter:

"Your computer is designed to vary performance as needed when a smaller capacity Smart AC Adapter is connected....

Please connect a higher capacity Smart AC Adapter."

I'm a bit confused, is it only possible to charge Elitebook 1040 G4 with the USB-C AC-Adapter and not via Docking Stations?

Does anyone face the same issue?

Is there a solution to this problem?

can also confirm that this dockingstation is working fine for HP Elitebook 1030 X360.

Hopefully this Dockingstation will be compatible with further HP Elitebook products..
