I just got an elitebook g8 second hand and from what I've gathered i should be getting around 10 hours of screen on time but in actuality im getting close to 3. I have checked the battery health and it seems to be close to full capacity and I dont have anything downloaded except chrome. Is the browser the issue or is there something in the settings thats supposed to get me good battery life

Do not expect brand new battery performance from a second hand notebook battery.

Replace the battery with a new one.

After you have installed a new battery and and are not running the notebook in performance mode, you should see an improvement.

Ten hours is a bit of an unrealistic expectation for any notebook that is used.
