HP USB-C Universal Dock HSA-B005DS
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to ask quick question:

Is HP Elitebook 840 G7 compatible with HP USB-C Universal Dock HSA-B005DS ?

I need it to use my laptop with two monitors at 4k resolution simultaneously.

Also, would this dock charge this particular laptop correctly during work?

I need to make sure, everything would work, because I opt for budget dock like one above.

I hope I don't have to buy more expensive HP Thunderbolt Dock 120W G2.

I provided below two links, both for dock and laptop datasheets:

Thank You all in advance for help!

The USB-C dock will work. Your laptop has Thunderbolt compatible USB-C and also allows USB-C power delivery. Dock can drive a pair of 4k monitors at 60 hz. through DP ports. Good luck.

I suspected this and did my research, but I just wanted to make sure. Thank you kindly, and sorry for making fuss out of nothing!
