My power button had problems while under warranty.  HP diagnosed it as memory issue as I often used the hybernate function instead of logging off.  The steps used worked so I would use this when the button did not work.  Recently, even using the steps HP gave of removing the battery and holding the power button down for 30 seconds and then attaching power, often times it would take minutes to power on.  I then remembered about the quick web button and have been using that.  I love my laptop.  Battery is still good - even have a second one I purchased which works, but only thing wrong is the power button.  I really don't want to purchase a new laptop just because of the power button.  Additionally I don't want to go to Window 10 as I have Window7P and happy.  Has anyone had their power button fixed?
