Elitebook 8460p Windows 10 problem - cannot use fingerprint scanner

Hi, I have been having issue finding a way to get the Elitebook 8460p to work with windows 10 pro (64 bit) using finger print to login

The drivers download page only offers support up to Windows 8.1

I have got the validity sensor driver installed recognized under device manager in the Biometrics part.

HOwever, Windows Hello doesn't work with it out of the box and I believe I need something like HP security manager to be installed to get it running.    

I got the other older HP laptop HDX 18 working with HP DigitalPersona 

However, nothing seems to work for this laptop.

Does any experts out there know the exact steps and things required to get it working?

I believe you can get the fingerprint scanner to work by installing the HP Client Security Manager software and restarting the PC.

The Client Security Manager software supeceded the HP Protect Tools security software that you used to log on to your notebook with W8.1 or older...

HP Client Security Manager provides enhanced Windows login and website single-sign-on capabilities. Security Manager is also the host for HP Client Security plugins, and therefore should be installed before other Client Security modules. This package is provided for supported models running a supported operating system.

Tried getting the same from HP site but it somehow encounter issues towards end of installation and have to roll back

It is sort of flaky how win 10 handles upgrade from win 7

I decided to reinstall win 7 instead and everything worked again
