Product: HP Spectre x360 - 13-ap0011nb
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11
I recently had some updates installed automatically.
After this, when turning off my computer, the fan blows really loudly and doesn't stop to do so untill my battery is completely drained. The device also seems to heat up while powered off.
Weirdly, the fan blows much quiter when the computer is actually turned on.
Things I've tried without success:
- turned off the fast power-up option
- uninstall the updates, reboot computer
- perform a hard reset (multiple times)
- reset bios settings (since I couldn't find the fan settings to put them on PWM instead of DC, which I read could help - haven't found this option though)
What else can I try? I'm fairly desperate because this means I cannot use my computer without a power cord since it overheats + drains the battery when I turn it off.
