HP ENVY Laptop - 15-ep0098nr
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My new HP Envy Laptop 15 (3G675UA#ABA) has 2 real Thunderbolt ports (unlike some others I've seen posting here), but I noticed none of the USBC or Thunderbolt dock options at HP list the new models in their compatibility. Are there any of the docks that work with the new Envy 15? Will they be able to charge the laptop via the Thunderbolt port?

I understand your concerns.

According to the manual

Your product will support following adapter

AC Adapter:

150 W HP Smart AC adapter (PFC, slim, 4.5 mm) L32661-001

Adapter: HP Elite USB Type–C MultiPort hub L39572-001

You could purchase the part from HP, use the HP Parts surfer to identify the part: http://partsurfer.hp.com/search.aspx

And order it via the HP Parts store: https://parts.hp.com/hpparts/CountryChoice.aspx?mscssid=&ccode=ZZ&lcode=ZZ

Or alternatively, Contact HP for setting up an order/service via phone support

Follow-up to my own question: I found this in the User Guide and in the Maintenance Guide that would seem to indicate that it MIGHT  support a USB-C charging docking station up to 90W.

I am looking for compatibility with USB-C docking stations and charging. Not shopping.

The manuals are written for multiple variations of the same model laptop, so finding specifics about whether mine will charge the battery or throw blue smoke if I put 90W of power into the Thunderbolt port is frustrating.
