Hello everyone.

I want to upgrade my current memory (2x4GB) to more memory. I read online and tried to find how much is the maximum amount of memory that can be installed in my notebook, but couldn’t find something clear. Some said max is (2x8GB) and some said (2x16GB) and I don’t really know how to figure this out.

I don’t want to order an expensive memory and then find out that it wont work with my notebook.

Thank you in advance.

Hi,

Your PC will support 32GB of DDR4 2133Mhz RAM (2x16GB) even if 16GB is mentioned in service manual.

There are two slots. You can purchase from your preferred brand such as Crucial, Samsung....

On page 33 of service manual you can see the steps to upgrade RAM:

Hope it helps,

David

Thank you.

but how do I know for sure that my notebook supports this amount?

Your welcome.

That it supports at least 16GB you can see in the service manual I linked above. Support for 32GB is from being here in the Community and seeing that other Members have upgraded to 32GB without problems. HP DDR4 systems with 7th 8th gen. Intel Core processors will support 32GB.

David
