Envy 17-j020us
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi all,

I check the specification of my Envy 17-j020us should have 4 USB 3.0 ports and 1 supporting USB Boost. I am wondering where the USB port supporting USB Boost is.

BTW, I feel the speed of USB 3.0 looks like 2.0. Do I need to do anything on BIOS to activate 3.0 speed?

The specs of your machine is

       https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c03754267

It has  4 SuperSpeed USB 3.0, 1 supporting USB Boost that means it has 3+1 = 4, not 5.  It is on the left side of your machine

Depending few factors including files size you won't get full USB 3.0 when transfer files.

Regards.
