I took a previous tip and unplugged it, opened it up, removed the battery, held the power button down for 30 seconds and plugged the battery and AC back in. Still has the same issue. When the battery is disconnected the light on the AC port is white but it still won't come on. When I plug the battery in it turns orange. When I hold the power button down while it's plugged in it'll go from Orange to off to White and back to Orange.
Having trouble finding a clear solution to this. I know the battery has been barely holding charge, does it just need replaced? And shouldn't it run without a battery installed right off of AC power? Any info is appreciated.

Yes, a computer should be able to run off of AC power even without the battery. Therefore this could be a motherboard issue.
