Hi,
Here's another ENVY X360 with the same design flaw that lead to a broken hinge cover on the lower right-hand side corner of the screen. The corner just detached suddenly when I tried to close the lid the other day. Widely known issue by HP, as it turns out, but no one willing to fix it without £ 350+.
I found a fix angle where the corner does not detach but if I try to move the lid forward (close the laptop) or backwards (open it at a wider angle), it would split and probably break. So I can't even close the lid and ship the laptop for repair. I guess I'm lucky that the display is still in one piece.
Can someone help with a solution before I go to the consumer protection authorities? This is clearly not a user generated fault and it should be entirely recognised and repaired by HP with no cost for the customer. It's funny how most of these issued happen to customers when the laptops have just passed 2 years in service and the standard warranty is expired. I've had mine for 2 years and 4 months and it was a wondeful machine... until this happend.

Hi @Alden04,
Thanks for your answer.
Contacting HP Support is the first thing I tried to do but I only get to a screen with 3 options:
-first one takes me to an inactive page; I have already contacted Currys anyway and they offered repair with a significant cost.
-second is the one I've already used.
-third option is inactive and I don't think I need that anyway.
I've navigated through all the pages but always ended up on the same "support" page shown above.
Where can I find an email address or phone number to contact HP support directly and not the community?
Thank you!
