I am looking to add a SATA hard drive to my system for bulk storage. My system presently contains a 1tb nvme drive. I want to use both drives. I contacted support by phone, but they were unable to locate the service manual. They simply linked the user guide.
Can someone verify that the 1tb nvme is not blocking the upgrade slot?
Is there a link to the technical service manual? It would help a lot, as I might do further upgrades later on.

Hi, @TheInnerBuddha
I agree with Banhien.
I just took a look at each video on the link I posted, and there are no procedures to remove or replace a 2.5" drive.
So, you can bet your bottom dollar there is no option to add one.

Hi:
I can't find a manual for that model either, but there is a video service guide for the slightly older dr0000 model series...

I can tell you with a relative degree if confidence that you would need to purchase a HDD caddy, screws and a SATA connection cable if you wanted to add a 2.5" drive. That part of your notebook will be completely void.
Without a service manual, finding the part numbers for those items would be extremely difficult.
It may be possible that HP hasn't gotten around to issuing a manual for your notebook's model series yet.

I believe HP is writing/updating the Maintenance and Service Guide for the series right now. Please wait.
I also believe HP is following other vendors (Dell, Lenovo, Apple ...) to stop offer dual storage on new machines. I've got 6 machines in front of me right now, they don't have options to add 2.5" HDD/SSD for storage they are 2 Microsoft Surface's, 2 Dell's , One Apple and one HP 840 G5 therefore your machine may not have this option at all.
Again. Please wait.
Regards.
