Envy x360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Want to find out if there is an i7 motherboard that is compatible with the
HP ENVY x360 15-u4732. A mainboard that will retain the tablet features.

Background:

I recently purchased a used HP Envy Convertable from a local computer shop. I liked the idea of being able to sit on the sofa and use the computer in tablet mode while watching TV, Etc. Look through emails, things like that, be able to watch Netflix etc.) It was an Intel i5 MotherBoard. As I have been a good customer of theirs, they offered to swiitch out the i5 MB for an i7 MB that was in another Envy covertable computer they had on hand but had a broken bezel around the screen. I agreed. When I picked up the computer, none of the tablet functions worked. (wouldn't disable keys, rotate screen orientation, etc.) I took it back and they looked through all settings, hardware, etc but could not find any reason for the non-working tablet mode.. They put in the old i5 MB and everyting worked fine. they reinstalled the i7 MB and now tablet functions don't work again.
