My laptop sudenly has stopped working while I was working on my laptop. I thought it was from the AC but it wasn't, It eas from the motherboard. I have decided to order it online but I could not finde it's part numer (Motherboard's part number), Any Help?

Hello shaima3mar,

Your laptop model's motherboard should use the Intel HM87 chipset, the GeForce 750M graphics subsystem, and the Windows Standard operating system and therefore uses HP Spare part number 741653-501.

I found this on page 65 of your computer's Maintenance and Service Guide.

There seem to be many options on eBay such as this from a reputable seller.

But I have a question Is not the one with spare part number 720569-501?

Because 741653-501 is applicable with GeForce 840M graphics subsystem, not with 750M.

Well, 741653-501 does state 750M:

I actually did find that 720569-501 has the exact same specifications except that it excludes the part about discrete memory.

This is actually quite interesting in that one would normally assume that a computer with an NVIDIA graphics card would have discrete graphics but it seems like there's a difference... (Hopefully, I didn't get anything mixed up)

Anyhow, considering that on your computer's specifications page here, it states that there is 4 GB DDR3 dedicated, I would recommend getting 741653-501 with the discrete memory.

Yes Eddy @EddyK is correct, 741653-501 is the part you need. This is the one that came with your laptop: 4gb directed graphics option.
Part No: 741653-501
Description: MOTHERBOARD DSC 750M 4G HM87 W8STD

The other one you saw in Manual had 2gb dedicated graphics only:
Part No: 720569-501
Description: MOTHERBOARD DSC 750M 2G HM87 W8STD

I am her now to tell you all a good news. I have just changed a small battery that was attached on the motherboard and now my laptop works fine 🙂 ... as it is shown in this video
