Envy X2
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I had an issue with my detachable wireless keyboard on my Envy x2 not connecting so I disconnected it.  Now when I go to the reconnect via Bluetooth, it is asking for PIN.  I can't find my original books.  Is there a generic PIN I can enter or is specific to each tablet/laptop?

Hello, @THolly - Hope you are well 🙂

Thanks for stopping by the HP Support Forums! I’d like to help!

I see that you are facing issues while pairing the keyboard on your HP Envy X2. Do not worry, we can easily fix this issue by following the steps listed here: http://hp.care/2wM3VFu

First, follow the steps under “Troubleshooting pairing problems” to uninstall the keyboard drivers from the device manager. Once done, follow the steps under “Pairing the keyboard base with the tablet”.

Those steps should do the trick, let me know the outcome!

Good luck 🙂

Thank you!  This worked.  The weird thing is I was doing a similar process before and it wouldn't generate a pin but this time it did....  I really appreciate your help!!

Hi!

I have the same problems, and followed the steps you mentioned, but this didn't work, and it's still asking for a PIN. I really hope you can help, I'm getting a bit desperate.

Hope you can help me,

Dianne

Dianne - unfortunately I am not a technical person.  Thankfully the solution worked for me but I will say that it wasn't working and then suddenly it did.  Keep trying and hopefully it will work for you as well.

Thanks, it worked! Just needed to update my driver 🙂
