Envy x360 15-ee0002na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello people, I have had my new notebook for a month now and am very happy with it, an Envy x360 15-ee0002na. It comes supplied with a NVMe M.2 512GB SSD fitted.

In the service manual (assuming I found the correct one!) - c06618426.pdf - it states the following SSD's are supported:

Support for the following solid-state drives:
●1 TB, 2280, peripheral component interconnect express (PCIe)-3×4, non-volatile memory express (NVMe), solid-state drive with triple layer cell (TLC)
●512 GB, M.2 2280, PCIe 3×4, NVMe, solid-state drive with TLC
●512 GB, 2280, PCIe, NVMe value solid-state drive
●256 GB, M.2 2280, PCIe 3×4, NVMe solid-state drive with TLC
●256 GB, 2280, PCIe, NVMe value solid-state drive

From this I gather the motherboard will accept any M.2 NVMe SSD, but why is it stating 1TB as the largest capacity, surely being a modern motherboard fitted with the new Ryzen 7 4700u CPU it would suport larger capacities.

My question then, is will this notebook work with a 2280 2TB M.2 NVMe SSD such as the following Adata XPG SX8200 Pro M.2 2TB :

And also, does it only have one SSD slot?

Many thanks in advance 🙂

All numbers are for pre-installed / pre-configured options. You can use 2TB or larger drives with single sided 2280 (otherwise won't fit physically).
