HP ENVY x360 Laptop - 15-ed0022tx

I have a problem with the hinge. Every time I open it the right hinge sticks out, which is the same as in the article below.

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Broke-the-hinge-of-my-HP-envy-...

I have an extended warranty, but the repair centre quoted HKD 1,000 for fixing the problem. I was surprised why such kind of repair is not covered by the warranty. The hinge was broken under normal use, and I have never dropped or physically damaged my laptop. Worse still, when I tried to google the hinge problem, I was shocked to realise that there are a large number of users experiencing the same problem. To be honest, this seems to be a product design problem rather than a user's fault that is not covered by warranty.

I hope HP can take this matter seriously and resolve my problem as soon as possible.
