HP ENVY x360 15.6 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 15-eu0000 (267R8AV)

Hi, I recently bought an Anker USB C charger NANO II with 65W to leave the huge charging cable at home and use USB instead. As far as I can see the notebook is capable of being charged either with the included PSU or a third-party wall charger. And it does quite well under "certain conditions" as it seems. But here's the whole story.

It is very interesting and starts to get kind of annoying that somehow, it seems that this notebook is quite picky when it comes to USB cables. So far, I ordered 2 different cables from 2 different manufacturers, THIS ONE and also THIS ONE . They both were 2m long and showed the exact same behavior: when plugged in, charging would start regularly (device switching from battery saving to power line mode) and continue for roughly 10 to 15 seconds, then stopping to charge (device switches back to battery saving mode) and starting again. If you leave the cable plugged in, this will continue to happen every few seconds.

Now everyone might think "Dude, it's the charger, return it". But here's how it goes: if I use the stock NoName USB cable that came with my Google Pixel 6, charging starts... and works like a charm until the end. The only downside here is the 1m of length. Charger is the same i mentioned before. So it's definitely the cables. The problem is now - how do I find one that works? Does this device need some specific cable standard to charge?

Your machine could be one of the following machines

             https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-envy-x360-15.6-inch-2-in-1-laptop-pc-15-eu0000/2100286049/mo...

For example:   HP ENVY x360 Convert 15-eu0002nj

It has 1 SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 10Gbps signaling rate (USB Power Delivery, DisplayPort™ 1.4, HP Sleep and Charge) port. I tested same port on my HP Envy machine using HP USB-C G5 dock no problem at all. Please use a right charger becasue your Anker clearly says: it is a "Compact USB-C Power Supply for MacBook Pro/Air, iPad Pro, Steam Deck, Galaxy S22, Dell XPS 13, Note 20, iPhone 13, Pixel ".

HP machines are not on the list.

As you have found out, all USB-C are not alike. The one that Comes with a Pixel 6 is rated to deliver more power than most. There is a USB-3 rating. See more here- https://www.chargerlab.com/how-to-choose-the-right-usb-c-to-usb-c-cable/

@Banhien Thanks for your input but as I stated before, charging works flawless with the cable of my Google Pixel 6. So it won't be the charger.

@Pbroussard I also thought about Thunderbolt compatiblity. I guess I have to simply give it a shot and order another cable with this standard. However, Google gives nearly no information about the cable they use for their current phones. On the other hand, the specs for my notebook HP is showing are also far from conclusive. It would be nice if one of the HP hardware guys joins the conversation to clear any confusion here.
