I was unable to successfully boot up my pc (cmd opened saying it couldn’t find two HDDs on my system.) so I decided to run a hard drive scan test.
It presented error 303 which meant that my hard drive is failing. Does this mean I’m going to need a new hard drive to fix this?
Thank you.

Hello @TonymMiller,
The error indicates that your Hard Drive is failing - there are many reason for a Smart error, one example would be that there are increasing blocks of the HDD that can not be written to or read from - whatever the actual reason for the smart warning, the solution boils down to replacing the Hard Drive.
If your notebook is still under warranty, contact HP and arrange to have the drive replaced.
If you live in the US, contact HP Here.
