I did a factory reset on my computer and now I can’t connect to the internet. Tried several time to connect  via wireless, and with an Ethernet cable. I uninstalled Norton and still doesn’t work

Hi @Dee218

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I am here to help you with this issue.

1) Since when are you facing this issue?

2) Do you recall making any changes to the computer?

In most cases, these errors are caused by temporary issues caused by very slight interruptions in communications between the computer to be updated and the update to be downloaded.

Note These errors can occur even if no changes have been made to network settings.

Method 1: You may follow all the steps outlined in the link(s) below

Windows Update error 80072efe or 80072f76

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Windows-Update-error-80072efe-or-80072f76

You may encounter temporary connection-related errors when you use Windows Update or Microsoft Update to install updates

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/836941/en-us

Method 2:Run System File Checker (SFC) scan to fix any corrupt system files. To do this, follow the steps mentioned below:

In Windows, search for Command Prompt. In the search results, right-click Command Prompt and select Run as administrator. Then click Yes. In Command Prompt, type sfc /scannow.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
