I have downloaded and installed the suggested Realtek R2.83 audio driver. The installation firstly uninstalled the present driver and then installed the new one.

After the installation I had audio errors (the speaker on the activity bar had a red cross).

After running some hardware fault check-up, I’ve got back the sound, but at the same time the previous audio driver seems to be re-installed. I.e. the device manager for audio drivers showed the same driver as before again.

Lastly, I’ve tried to install Win 11 and got back the previous error regarding:

 “Intel IntcOED.sys driver (Versions 10.24.02863, 10.24.0.3316, 10.24.0.3488, 10.24.0.3633, 10.24.0.3694, 10.24.0.3851, 10.24.0.3950) doesn’t support this Windows version"

When I Google this error Intel says that the OEM manufacturer should come up with a new HP specific driver, since the drivers is “brand specific”. See picture.

So, it seems that no one than HP needs to come up with an update to fix these update issues.

HI @Gixxerik,

The unit has not yet been validated on Windows 11, as only a Windows 10 driver is currently available.

We request you use the unit with Windows 10 only.

Hello again Jerry.

I just noticed that one of the Intel Smart Sound audio drivers was downgraded after the installation of recommended Realtek R2.83. The device manager now shows version 10.24.0.3694. The previous installed version was 10.24.0.4904. Is this change something that should worrying me?

Also, if I understand you correctly you recommend me to stay with Win 10?

This doesn't seem like the best long-term solution since Win 10 has no further support and/or updates. That said I really hope that HP can bring up an audio driver so Win 11 sooner or later can be installed.

Picture below of the downgraded driver:

Once the team checks the unit with Windows 11, you will get an update on HPSA.
