Ethernet adapter not found windows 7

I just reinstalled windows 7 on my laptop and it still can’t detect my Ethernet adapter?

Under devices and printers it has the ! On Ethernet controller, pc devices and pc simple communications controller.  Plus I have no internet access at the moment. I am using my phone to find out what I can do

Well you need drivers. I am now on my phone so I will tag driver guru @Paul_Tikkanen  and see if he can help.

Ethernet controller:

This package provides the Realtek Local Area Network (LAN) Driver that enables the Realtek Network Interface Card (NIC) Chip in supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system.

PCI Device:

This package contains the driver that enables the Realtek Card Reader in supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system. The card reader enables users to read from or write to supported removable storage cards, which are typically used in digital cameras, digital music players, and cellular phones.

pci simple communications controller:

This package provides the Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) Driver for the supported notebook models and operating systems. The Intel Management Engine Interface enables communication between the host operating system and the Intel Management Engine firmware.

Since you have no internet connection, you will need to download these drivers from another PC, copy them to a USB flash drive and use that to install the drivers.
