The fan on my laptop is constantly running at what sounds like maximum capacity.

It starts going almost as soon as the laptop is powered on, but I cannot feel any excess heat from the laptop.

I have cleared the vents and updated the BIOS (these were the suggestions I could find on the forums I looked at) but the issue persists.

Any ideas for what might be causing it and what I can do about it are greatly appreciated.

Did you try to Disable "Fan Always On" in the BIOS???

Yes, I have disabled "Fan Always On" in BIOS

That worked for about 10 minutes but then the Fan started running, and is on constantly again.
