Product: HP ENVY 13-ad100ca
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
I am looking into getting into pc gaming and am considering using and external gpu for my hp envy laptop. I am wondering if my usb 3.1 outlets will support external gpu's and if the i5-8250u is a good enough cpu for light gaming.

Most eGPU would require Thunderbolt 3 usb port to utilize all the bandwidth the GPU has to offer and if your laptop has a Thunderbolt compatible port than there are lots of optioins.
Mine one doesnot its a normal USB C port. I was also looking into using a eGPU but my laptop has a limitation.
