Product: HP Pavilion Laptop PC 15-eg2000 (4U9E8AV)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

PC 15-eg2000 Windows 11 has a combo jack.  Previously  used condenser microphone on HP laptop which has separate microphone and speaker jacks.  I used a splitter on the 15-eg2000 combo jack and can record, however, the recording level is extremely low.  Do I need to use a specific microphone with the computer?

Hey BE,

If you cant change some options in win11, which helps you to solve your issue,

you could try to change some options in your recording sofware.

If this also doesnt help, you should buy a amplifier software or a physical amplifier.
