Hi @Lion25

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thanks for your detailed question. Based on the specifications of your HP 15-da0384tu laptop with Intel HD Graphics 620, here’s a breakdown of the external display capabilities you can expect:

Maximum Supported Resolutions and Refresh Rates

Intel HD Graphics 620 (used in your system) supports the following via HDMI 1.4:

Note: These values assume you're using the HDMI port. If your laptop had USB-C with DisplayPort Alt Mode (which it does not), higher refresh rates at 4K would be possible.

Recommendations for External Monitor

  • For smooth performance, a 1080p monitor at 60Hz is ideal and fully supported.
  • 1440p at 60Hz is also supported and offers more screen real estate.
  • 4K monitors will work, but are limited to 30Hz, which may result in less fluid motion—especially noticeable during scrolling or video playback.
