Extra PCI Slot?

I have an HP Pavilion m4-1001tx and I just notice that there is a extra slot beside the wifi adapter of my laptop. What is the use of that slot?

I believe, You are referring to the below location as shown in the pic.

That is bay given to you have SSD installed.
