HP Probook 440 G4 Y7Z68EA#ACB

Hi all,

Could you please tell me if my laptop (HP Probook 440 G4 Y7Z68EA#ACB) supports an extra ssd. It came with m.2 256GB ssd (SanDisk SD8SNAT-256G-1006) installed. But I need more storage. For that I would like to choose 1TB ssd from kingston (https://www.kingston.com/en/ssd/consumer/sa400s37), but am not sure if it is supported by my hw (I guess it is OS agnostic). Or does it support only HDD?

Thank you very much in advance!

Yes you will see on the bottom of the laptop 2 access doors:

HDD = red circle, blue square = RAM and M.2HDD = red circle, blue square = RAM and M.2

The Kingston SSD is a 2.5 inch SATA type and will fit where you see the red circle, assuming you were provided with mounting hardware. Take the smaller access door off and look inside and see if there is a hard drive caddy in there. If not you would need to get one to install the Kingston SSD. We can help with that if necessary.

Hard drive cover NOTE: The hard drive cover is included in the Hard Drive Hardware Kit. 905708-001
