Has anyone had any proper guidance or assistance in repairing or replacing a fading keyboard on an HP Omnibook 3 Laptop? HP support is not offering the support that is beneficial to me. Please advise. My laptop was purchased brand new and is less than a year old.

Hi @504615nene, thanks for posting. Faded keys are cosmetic wear and usually not covered, but the keyboard can be replaced.
1. Find the keyboard spare part number by entering your serial at https://partsurfer.hp.com
2. The Maintenance and Service Guide (https://support.hp.com > your model > Manuals) shows the replacement steps.
3. If still in warranty, ask HP: https://support.hp.com/contact-hp
A keyboard skin can protect the new one.

Thanks so very much! I will most definitely take this advice. I have purchased a skin/key cover from Amazon and will request HP send me the keyboard replacement so I can have someone I trust install. Afterwards I will have to purchase a new laptop (not HP) as I no longer have the confidence I once had in HP and give this one to my grandkids. Thank you again.
