HI. I have recently purchased a Kingston A2000 250gb m.2 SSD to install into my HP Laptop. After installation it would not even switch on. I took the SSD drive out again and found it works fine!!
Can you advise if the SSD is not compatable or why is the laptop not booting up with the new SSD installed.
Thanks for your help.

Here is the Service Manual:
The Kingston A2000 uses the NVME interface and your laptop only accepts SATA-type M.2 SSDs. Its confusing as they fit in the same slot but the motherboard is not set up to work with an NVME disk as you have discovered first-hand. I hope you can return the Kingston and get a SATA type M.2, which will work fine.
