So I've had this issue since I got my laptop, and since my issue was fixed last time I posed let's try again. Every time I am using my laptop and it is charging it experiences some FPS drops and sometimes lags. This is very noticeable when I am playing video games especially. Again, to my knowledge, everything I have is fully updated and I am using the same charger that was given to me when I bought the laptop. I believe the laptop charger is a 45W charger and I don't know if that is the issue or maybe something within the system. I thank anyone who will be able to help me.

@DesertHaze, Welcome to HP Support Community!

Try updating the computer -

Step 1 Windows Updates -

1) In the search box, type, and open Windows Updates.

2) Check for updates.

3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Step 2 HP Support Assistant Updates -

1) In the search box, type, and open HP Support Assistant.

2) Check for updates.

3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

If the issue persists, you might have to use a bigger adapter than the original adapter shipped with your PC. Please reach out to the HP Support in your region for replacement adapter.

Hope this helps!

Hi! So I wanted to start off by saying thank you for responding. As for the updates, my laptop is fully updated. As for the charger, I no longer have a warranty on the laptop and I was posting on the forums because I honestly didn't know that this was a thing and wanted to see if this was normal. Would they still assist me? Even if it is information on what kind of charger would be better suited for my laptop,

So I was able to get into contact with them but they said there was nothing they could do. Do you know what charger I should get? The one that I have now is currently 45W I belive.
