Troubleshooting Windows Update
The first thing you are required to do is to start Windows Update troubleshooter to find and fix the problems for you. In order to that, follow the steps.
Search for Troubleshooting inside your Windows search box. If you are in Windows 7, go to Start menu and search for it inside the box at the bottom of the menu. In Windows 8, follow the same process to open the troubleshooting windows. After the search, find the Troubleshooting and click over it to open.
Inside the Troubleshooting window, navigate to the bottom and click System and Security to move to the next window.
Inside the System and Security window, navigate to the bottom again and there you will see Windows Update. Right-click on it and select run as administrator.
When you are in Windows Update troubleshooter, click the Next button to start the process. If at the first try, it doesn’t find the problem, try again to restart the troubleshooting process. After it is done, it would automatically fix the problem. Close the window and move to the next step.
Pushing Windows Update:
After the success of troubleshooting process, open Command Prompt by searching for it inside Start menu. Make sure to run it as administrator too in order to make it work properly.
