Hi,

I did a uefi diagnostic on my fan because it it constantly running even though the temperature is not high and I received a failure.  The full message is: The test determined that there was a problem with the GPU fan speed and it may need to be replaced.

Component tested:Thermal fan check

What do I need to do next?

Quick update - I tried a few things like updating the drivers but it was still running at 100% nonstop.  I ended up unplugging and replugging the fan back in and now it is working as expected.  Not sure why - just happy not to hear the fan going anymore.

There is no HP PC Diagnostic UEFI utility Fan test that I have ever heard of.

What version of the HP PC Hardware UEFI utility are you using?

I just downloaded it so it is the latest that HP had.  My computer only let's me run it from the boot menu so I don't know if that makes a difference.  The test was called a fan speed test.
