Hi, memory quick check failed with failure id GSP3WK-6T8A5W-MFPWWK-OO5HO3, product E8B87UA#ABA. I did this because I was intermittently getting bsod's. I even performed a clean install but after a while the bsod came back. I'm no longer under warranty but I would love some direction as to what my next move should be. Please help.

Hi:

According to the product specs your notebook comes with a single 8 GB memory module.

https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04030095

If the notebook had come with two memory modules, I would have suggested you remove one and run the notebook off the remaining module and if you still get BSOD's then you reinstall the first memory chip you removed and replace it with the other.

Most likely the error report is a failing memory chip.

The code translates to nothing more than one word...failed.

So...if you have another DDR3L-1600 memory module laying around, try it and see if the issue goes away.

If not, you will have to gamble that replacing the 8 GB chip with a new one will resolve the issue.

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook, where you can find the memory removal and replacement procedure.

Below is the link to the Crucial memory report for your model notebook.  They offer compatible memory for sale.

The 1st 8 GB chip listed in the report would be fine.
