I ran a system quick test and the hard drive short DST check failed. failure ID : m4mx8c-7h9a2v-mfpv7f-60tu03
Where can I look up what it means?

Hi:
The error code reported, Hard Disk 1 Quick Test Failure, means the hard drive needs to be replaced, and the operating system reinstalled.
Below is the link to the service manual where you can find the hard drive removal and replacement procedure.

You may want to consider purchasing a better performing, normally more reliable 2.5" x 7.0mm solid state drive.
The specs for your notebook indicate that it originally came with W8.1, but you may have taken the free upgrade to W10.

If you let me know what OS you need to reinstall, I can give you a free way to reinstall either W8.1 or W10.

Probably not, but you can toss a few bucks at the problem buy a SATA to USB notebook hard drive adapter, plug one end into the bad hard drive, the other end into a working PC's USB port and see if you can read/copy any data from the hard drive to the PC.
