It means that the storage device your laptop is using has or is going to fail.
As far back in generations it is, in comparison to current laptops, that is completely understandable.
Save your important data immediately to an external storage device. Afterwards, replace the hard drive and reinstall Windows.
The specification of the hard drive that is already installed is SATA 3 2.5" (7mm)
You could also replace it with a SATA 3 2.5" SSD and get an impressive performance boost.
