I have this laptop for a few months now,
and tried some bios tweaks and os settings, but nothing seems to help.
The fan is quite noisy most of the time, also during normal not intensive usage.
This laptop has a i9 and 64GB of RAM, the OS is debian buster.
For example at this moment:
load average: 1,81; 2,30; 2,14 which a low load for laptop that should be able to handle a load of 16
MiB Mem : 63728,4 total, 58354,7 free,
Throttling the cpu to for example 90% or lower does not seem a lot
The hottest measurement is
pch_cannonlake-virtual-0
Adapter: Virtual device
temp1: +78.0°C
which is the typically between 75 and 85 degrees just after booting and while working,
cpu are mostly below 50, sometimes between 50 and 60.
Both usb-c ports are in use
Do you have bios or OS suggestions?

FYI: Having the same problem as you on my ZBook 15 G6 Mobile Workstation, Quadro RTX3000, Core i7-9850H, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, Running Windows 10
Did you find a solution?

Hello,
also having the exact same Problem, fan is kicking of constantly, even without much load. In case there are some Task to do the fan accelerates to an unacceptable Level, at least within an Office with coworkers.
I hope this is just a firmeware / software configuration issue
Device:
HP zbook g6 mobile Workstation, NVIDIA Quadro RTX3000 and i7
