Is there any way to fix excessive fan noise? My Spectre notebook computer doesn't have the HP Command Center.

Assuming this problem isn't caused by excessive amounts of heat being generated in your computer, you may have to change a setting in your BIOS. To get into BIOS constantly press the esc key upon computer startup. Then press f10 to get into bios configuration. Navigate with the arrow keys and go to system configuration. Then go to Fan always on and set that to false. For me it was enabled by default. Not sure why, but this is enabled by default in some computers. If this dosn't help / wasn't enabled in the first case then read this article. https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c01657439
